A Toyota Sequoia hit a motorcycle on the southbound 57 Freeway near Brea in an Orange County motorcycle accident. The California Highway Patrol reports that two lanes were blocked after the accident occurred. The motorcyclist was taken to UCI Medical Center, but only suffered moderate injuries.

Last week on the 57 Freeway near Katella Avenue, a weed trimmer had apparently fallen off of a vehicle and blocked one of the lanes. An accident involving a Corvette and a Chevy Equinox yesterday in Tustin resulted in a light pole being knocked down and the Corvette almost split in half. The California Highway Patrol reports that the Equinox made an unsafe left turn causing it to collide with the Corvette at the intersection of Newport Avenue and Macy Drive. After being hit, the Corvette then hit a concrete light pole which then crushed the back of the car causing it to split, as stated by the Orange County Register. The driver of the Corvette was taken to the hospital for care.
