  Bicyclist Injured in Orange County Auto Accident

A Jeep collided with a bike in Orange County yesterday according to the Orange County Register. Both the bicyclist and the driver of the Jeep were taken to the hospital as they suffered injuries from the auto accident, with the driver of the Jeep in critical condition. The Orange County Fire Authority reports that the Jeep rolled over several times while the bicycle was left split in half.

  Five Vehicle Crash on the 57 Freeway

This morning in Brea a five car vehicle resulted from big-rig truck tire tread. On the 57 Freeway past Imperial Highway, three lanes ended up blocked by a number of vehicles after they were attempting to avoid tire tread.   Three Car Pileup on 57 Freeway

Last week on the 57 Freeway near Katella Avenue, a weed trimmer had apparently fallen off of a vehicle and blocked one of the lanes. A commercial minivan, that first came up to the weed trimmer, stopped, causing a Chevy truck to come to a sudden stop behind it.   Freight Train Kills Two

Two men were killed when they were on train tracks and a freight train struck them in Fullerton. The train was traveling from Los Angeles to New York when it hit the two men. The Burlington Northern Santa Fe spokeswoman states that the engineer most likely wouldn’t have been able to prevent the accident because, at the speed it was going, it would have needed a mile to stop.

  Woman Killed, Others Injured in Laguna Hills Accident

A woman was killed in a car crash when the car she was a passenger in was hit from behind near Hon Avenue and Alicia Parkway in Laguna Hills, reports the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.   Car Accident Leaves Corvette Almost Split in Half

An accident involving a Corvette and a Chevy Equinox yesterday in Tustin resulted in a light pole being knocked down and the Corvette almost split in half.   Head-on Traffic Collision Seriously Injures One

A Huntington Beach man was seriously injured when his vehicle veered into oncoming traffic last week and sideswiped a truck, according to the Orange County Register. The driver of the 1996 Chevrolet Silverado was reportedly speeding on Ellis Avenue when he swerved into opposing traffic near Bushard Street. A 1998 Nissan Frontier truck was hit containing a driver and no passengers. According to the Fountain Valley Police Department, the driver of the Nissan truck was treated for minor injuries, however the Silverado eventually hit a block wall.
